New Notepads!

Here is a sample picture of some new notepads I've been working on... Although its still summer, I'm thinking Christmas/holidays so I've been working on my "stash" (think green, red, white, sparkles!) as well.

This notepad measures approx 8.5"X 3"
I also have a "Post-it" sized note pad coming soon! Check back tomorrow for updated pictures of those.

Who's birthday is it anyway?

This is a fun birthday card that I made for our friend Sharon.

The background (picture didn't turn out very clear) was stamped on craft paper with "cloud white" versatility ink.
I then finished off the card with a ribbon knot, fun flower insprired by Dawn McVey and the number 60 cut from George basics cricut cartridge!
Have a great birthday celebration Sharon! Here's to 60 more wonderful years! =)

Fun Day Papercrafting!

Mom (AKA: Deb) came to visit on Monday to have a crafting extravaganza! We focused mostly on our card making, and lets face it, child rearing... but I also got some photos of some new products.

Here is my son Brayden eating chips in his new apron/smock with diggers on the front and CHALKBOARD FABRIC on the back!! Perfect for a little guy who is quite literally into everything. It was insanely difficult to get him to sit for 15seconds just so we could get a picture, so it's blurry... but you get the idea!

Another blurry picture due to the OTHER little busy guy in my life, Bryce. Here I am demonstrating the new nursing cover, while he kicks... This fabric is pre-washed and SO soft! If you are interested in one, think about YOUR style first, then you can decide if you want to keep the colors neutral or match your baby's gender.

This was my first set of cards. Very Mediterranean! Actually, we were using variety boxes of cards from DCWV, and this card came from the "Cafe Mediterranean" set!

Here is the inside of the horizontal card:

Here is the GIRL version of Mom's baby card- so adorable!

and here is the close up of the baby:

And here is the BOY version! Both cards have a "congratulations-type" sentiment inside that would be appropriate for a baby shower or birth.

Mom's second card: "Hi!" with a butterfly accent
My Happy Anniversary card, with metallic silver details and iridescent purple ribbon

Overall, it seems like we were pretty successful even though the kiddies weren't on their regular nap and eating schedules! We never seem to get as much done as we hope to! I have a beautiful damask wedding card to share that I just finished, but the babies are calling! Check back soon!

Its all about YOU!

I got some new Papertrey Ink goodies in the mail this week and couldn't wait to try them!!

The first is the Vintage Labels stamp set that coordinates with the Spellbinders Nestabilities Label Die One. I've always liked the Bracket shape for my card making, so this stamp set made an obvious addition to my collection since it contributes another dimension to my dies!

The second stamp set is All About You that I'm LOVING the versatility of. On this card, I also tried my hand at a folded flower of felt from Papertrey Ink. Both cards feature the designs from my impression plate on the background pink paper (from- you guessed it- PTI!)
That's all for now. Thanks for stopping by!

Summer Thoughts

Here is a new set of cards I put together being inspired by some summer flowers in my backyard!

Since I don't have sewing machine, I've been trying a few "ruffles" that can be made just by using Glue Dots. I think they turned out great and will definitely do this again because they were so easy.

I just LOVE these buttons...

Making more and more flowers!

I just can't stop making these flowers!

Next on the docket: these flowers made from vintage text paper. This post by Dawn McVey actually encompasses 2 things I'm getting started on: the vintage text flowers AND these cute doilies!
